Members of the public are invited to an open house for the Northern Lights Area Structure Plan on July 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park.
City staff will present the draft area structure plan and seek feedback from the public.
The location of the Northern Lights Area Structure Plan, formerly known as the Northeast Industrial Area Structure Plan, is depicted in the map to the right. This area is being considered for long-term industrial land needs and may accommodate a range of recreational opportunities.
An area structure plan sets the direction for long-term land-use for a specific area within the City. They may consider uses such as road networks, schools, green spaces, commercial/industrial space, environmental conservation, and other needs.
This public consultation session is part of a larger consultation process consisting of three open houses and a visioning session. Details regarding this project area available at cityofgp.com/neindustrialasp.
Residents unable to attend the open house may submit their feedback by e-mail or schedule a meeting with the planners by contacting neindustrial@cityofgp.com.
