The public are advised the north and south bound stop signs on Knowledge Way West near Charles Spencer High School are to be removed on Tuesday, July 3.

The stop signs are being removed to reduce the risk of collisions associated with traffic backing up onto 68 Avenue from Knowledge Way West during peak times. The west bound stop sign on Knowledge Way remains in place. 68 Avenue has a posted speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour.

The stop signs are being removed at the end of the current school year to allow travellers time to adjust to the change prior to the beginning of the school year in September.

Pedestrians are reminded to use marked crosswalks and motorists are required to yield to any pedestrians trying to cross at marked crosswalks.
