Commuters are reminded that the City's new transit routes and schedules come into effect on Saturday, August 6.

The new routes and schedules are part of the transit redesign to enhance connectivity and provide improved service within the City.

It was completed with community consultation and includes multiple service delivery modes including On Demand to enhance service and reducing ride time.

The new Rider's Guide is available to view or download at cityofgp.com/transit, on buses or at participating SUPERPASS locations including:

  • City Hall
  • City Service Centre
  • Eastlink Centre
  • Muskoseepi Park
  • New Horizon Co-op Marketplace
  • Shoppers Drug Mart (Cobblestone)
  • Shoppers Drug Mart (Patterson)
  • Shoppers Drug Mart (Prairie Mall)
  • Shoppers Drug Mart (Wapiti)

Construction Impacts

The new transit routes 4 and 8 will experience temporary re-routing starting Saturday, August 6 to accommodate construction. 

The following bus stops will be closed on August 6 until further notice:

  • New route 4: Stops 424 and 426
  • New route 8: Stop 822 (121 Avenue and 100 Street)

Transit passengers for stops 424 and 426 are asked to please redirect to new stop 422 (Royal Oaks Drive and 103B Street).

Transit passengers for stop 822 are asked to please reroute to new stop 820 (102 Street and 120 Avenue).

Riders are thanked for their cooperation and understanding during ongoing construction work.
