City Council Highlights for July 2, 2019

Here are the highlights from the City Council meeting held on July 2, 2019

2020 Budget

City Council has directed administration to prepare the 2020 budget with a tax increase that does not exceed, plus or minus, 1% of the best estimation of inflation.

Administration was also directed to bring to budget deliberations an itemized list of adjustments and associated service level impacts that are necessary in order to meet Council’s budget direction using the 2019 budget actuals along with the forecasted 2020 budget.

Amendments to Bylaw C-106K, the Business License Bylaw Amendment

Council approved amendments to the Business License Bylaw. The amendments see the license fees be payable in accordance with Bylaw C-1395, schedule A.

Delegations

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and Grande Prairie Public Library Board presented as delegations.
