What happens to a flag when the trials of time have worn it down? Oliver’s Funeral Home feels the old flag deserves to be treated respectfully.

Once a year, on National Flag Day, February 15th, retired flags are laid to rest during a ceremony at Grande Prairie Cemetery. Flags can be dropped off at Oliver’s year-round.

• 10:30 a.m.: depart Oliver’s Funeral Home as a group to the Grande Prairie Cemetery to retire the flags.
• 10:45 a.m.: meet at Grande Prairie Cemetery.
• 11 a.m.: ceremony starts.

After the ceremony, please join us at Oliver’s Funeral Home for a luncheon and short program. Please register by February 9 if you would like to attend the lunch or be given a ride from Oliver’s to the cemetery.
