Update as of 2:20 p.m. on Friday, May 19:

The aquatics area will re-open for public drop-in use on Saturday, May 20 at 1 p.m. due to a predicted lower air quality index. Swimming lessons and pre-existing bookings will resume as scheduled.

Residents are reminded amenities, including water features, slides and the FlowRider, may continue to be turned off as required based on the air quality index. 

PlayCare also resumes regular hours of operation on Saturday, May 20. 

Update as of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18: PlayCare is also closed on Thursday and Friday.

Due to a continued elevated air quality index of 11+, the aquatics area of Eastlink Centre is closing at noon May 18, 2023 until further notice.

The closure is in effect for the health and safety of patrons and staff.

All swimming lessons, user-group bookings and drop-in use are cancelled with this closure.

Daily monitoring of the air quality will continue, as well as added efforts within the facility to improve air quality.
