August 31 Update

The Activity & Reception Centre is re-opening for public drop-in use starting Friday, September 1.

The mobile skatepark is also moving back into the Activity & Reception Centre for the season and is available beginning Friday, September 1.

Visitors are thanked for their patience and understanding while the facility was unavailable.

Starting Wednesday, August 16 the Activity and Reception Centre is temporarily closed to public drop-in access as the facility prepares to shelter a potential influx of additional NWT wildfire evacuees.



The recreational facility was built and designed to be multi-purpose and function as an emergency response centre if necessary. It is being utilized for this activation of GPREP due to current hotel capacity levels.
