Update as of 10:30 a.m., July 14, 2023: The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is now open again.
The Aquatera Outdoor Pool is unavailable until further notice due to a contamination. The facility is anticipated to re-open for swimming lessons at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, July 14 however, an update will be released once the Aquatera Outdoor Pool has officially re-opened.
The closure affects the public swim time and all bookings until a re-opening time is announced. Impacted bookings are being notified directly.
Summer months often bring contaminates, including lotions and sunscreens, into the pool which can create bacteria that requires closures. Visitors to the Aquatera Outdoor Pool are permitted to wear sunscreen, however it is recommended that you choose a water-resistant sunscreen as they typically remain effective for 40 to 80 minutes after taking a rinse, swimming or sweating. Rinsing in the shower before entering the pool and avoiding wearing outdoor clothes into the pool is an important step in avoiding pool closures due to contaminations.
Visitors are thanked for their patience and understanding.
