Road and Transit Delays on August 26 and 27 for Experience Grande Prairie Event

The Experience Grande Prairie event is coming to the City Centre on August 26 and 27. The event focuses on downtown Grande Prairie, allowing residents to visit and explore while attending the fun and free event.

Road Impacts

Multiple roads will be closed during the event causing delays to drivers and transit users.

On Friday, August 26, the road closures on 101 Avenue (between 100 Street and 101 Street) and on 101 Street (between 100 Avenue and 101 Avenue) take place from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

On Saturday, August 27, the road closures on 100 Avenue (between 100 Street and 102 Street) and on 101 Street (between 100 Avenue and 101 Avenue) take place from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Transit Impacts

Transit routes 3, 4, and 8 are rerouting on Friday, August 26, and Saturday, August 27 to accommodate the Experience Grande Prairie event.

The following bus stops will be closed:

Route 3: Stop 302

Route 4: Stop 402

Route 8: Stops 802 and 804

Transit passengers for stops 302, 402, and 802 are asked to please reroute to Towne Centre Mall.

Transit passengers for stop 804 are asked to please reroute to stop 806 located on 103 Avenue between 101 Street and 102 Street.
