Reverend Forbes Homestead Museum Summer Season Coming to a Close

This summer was fruitful for the Rev. Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital Museum.

From holding six excellent afternoon teas and commemorating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee to hosting summer camp group visits and being joined by Peace Country Historical Society and the South Peace Regional Archives.

The Homestead, the oldest house in Grande Prairie, was constructed between 1911 and 1912. The first hospital in this community is located there, and it is a provincially designated historic site.

The Reverend Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital Museum will close for the season on Saturday, September 3. The site will remain open by appointment only until the end of September.

Admissions to the museum are always free. If you are interested in booking a tour, please call the Grande Prairie Museum at 780-830-7090.
