UPDATE as of 12:00 p.m., April 27, 2020: The paved trails are now open. Unpaved trails remain closed at this time as we continue assessing their condition.

Muskoseepi Park and the Muskoseepi Trails system are closed due to flooding of the Bear Creek.

The Bear Creek Reservoir is discharging water at its maximum capacity. Water levels continue to rise in the reservoir and flow rapidly in the Bear Creek creating unpredictable conditions.

The City of Grande Prairie continues to monitor water levels in the Bear Creek Reservoir, spillway and creek. Precautionary measures are underway to protect critical infrastructure.

Residents are asked to obey signs, barricades and the direction of local authorities.
