The City has received inquiries about the grading and maintenance of an unapproved access connecting 139 Avenue in the Trader Ridge development to 140 Avenue. This unapproved access is not maintained by the City of Grande Prairie as it is on private property. The unapproved access has been barricaded by the City in the interest of public safety. The barricades have been placed because the unapproved access has not been assessed for traffic safety, designed for public use, and does not have any traffic control in place. Motorists may use other public roads and Highway 43 to travel around the area.
