Land Use Bylaw Amendment Package

The Land Use Bylaw contains rules and regulations for development on private land. An application to amend the Land Use Bylaw is required if you wish to develop a site in a manner that is not allowed in the current land use district or development regulations. A Land Use Bylaw amendment requires three readings by Council and a public hearing.

Fees and Timelines

*where an application involves a proposal to amend more than one (1) of the following major documents (MDP, ASP, ARP, OP, LUB), the full fee will be charged for the item with the highest fee and all other items will be charged half of the fee stated above.

Land Use Bylaw amendment fees are regulated by Bylaw C-1395 – Fees, Rates and Charges.

Planning and advertising fees are non-refundable regardless if the amendment is approved or denied.

Land Use Bylaw amendment applications can take up to 2 to 3 months to process. More complex proposals may take longer.
