A Development Permit is required if your addition will change the footprint of your building.  This permit is also used for a covered or enclosed deck, and the addition of an attached garage.

If your development is a Secondary Suite, please use the separate application for them.

Fees and Timelines:  The fee for a residential addition is $150 .  Timelines will vary from a few days for a straight forward application to several weeks if there is a variance to the Land Use Bylaw involved.
