A section of 92 Street (Range Road 60) in the McRae Industrial area is scheduled to close for two days beginning Tuesday, August 25 for road stabilization work. The closure will extend from 132 Avenue to 141 Avenue.
The closure is required while crews till and apply MG30, a road stabilization product, into the gravel road surface. The City is trialling the product to determine how it performs on high-traffic industrial gravel roads where heavy vehicle use creates ongoing maintenance challenges.
Unlike standard surface dust control, MG30 is incorporated into the road structure to help bind the material, reduce dust and support a more durable driving surface.
Traffic impacts
92 Street will be closed between 132 Avenue and 141 Avenue during the work.
Traffic will be detoured using 132 Avenue, 84 Street and 156 Avenue, reconnecting with 92 Street north of the closure.
Motorists travelling to businesses in the McRae Industrial area are asked to follow posted detour signage and allow additional travel time.
Work is weather dependent and the schedule may change based on conditions.
