Free Community Skate in Recognition of National Addictions Awareness Week

Free Community Skate in Recognition of National Addictions Awareness Week

The community is invited to a free public skate at the Design Works Centre's Weyerhaeuser North Arena on Wednesday, November 27, from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., as part of National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW).

This skate is an opportunity to build connections within the community, reflecting this year’s theme, Forging Connections. Special guests will include select Grande Prairie Storm players, members of the Grande Prairie Police Service and Grande Prairie Fire Department, along with representatives from various local organizations and City departments, offering a great chance to engage with local first responders and community advocates.

Limited quantities of helmet and skate rentals will be available at the Design Works Centre, free of charge during the skate. As a reminder, helmets are required for those under 18 and recommended for ages 18 and older.

Come join us for an evening of fun on the ice! For more details on this event, visit the NAAW FREE Skate.
