Lakeland Drive has reopened to traffic after thorough safety assessments and necessary repairs. The City thanks the community for their patience during the closure and appreciates your cooperation in maintaining a safe environment for all.

The City of Grande Prairie is advising residents that Lakeland Drive is closed to traffic from 123 Avenue to 95 Street as crews respond to an accident on the construction site excavation at the Lakeland Drive Culvert.

Emergency crews are currently on the scene, and ATCO Gas is assessing the situation to ensure the area's safety. No injuries have been reported.

Traffic Re-routing:

Commuters are advised to use alternate routes, including 92nd Street or 100 Street to 132 Avenue, to navigate around the closure.

Public Transit Impact:

Bus stops 616, 618 and 620 in the affected area on Lakeland Drive are temporarily closed.

Visit the City Transit page at cityofgp.com/transit for updates and information.
