Eastlink Centre aquatics amenity impacts May 3 to 5 for swim meet

The City of Grande Prairie is excited to welcome over 400 athletes and spectators to the Eastlink Centre for the highly anticipated Piranhas Northern Lights Invitational swim meet from Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5.

During the event, aquatics at the Eastlink Centre remains open with limited public swim times that include the following amenity impacts to accommodate the competition:

  • Friday, May 3:
    • Long course lane swim available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Diving boards unavailable all day. 
    • 50-metre pool and FlowRider unavailable from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 4: 
    • Diving boards, 50-metre pool and FlowRider unavailable all day. 
  • Sunday, May 5:
    • Diving boards unavailable all day. 
    • 50-metre pool and FlowRider unavailable from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The dive tank will remain closed until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 6. 

The City is delighted to welcome swim clubs from across western Canada including Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Peace Region.
