The splash park and the wading pool have re-opened for public use.
The City thanks the public for their patience and understanding during the closures.
The splash park and wading pool in the aquatics area at the Eastlink Centre are temporarily closed until further notice due to a bacterial contamination.
No risks to the public have been identified for those who visited the facility.
All other pool amenities remain open. Aquatic programming, including swimming lessons, will not be affected during this closure.
Facility staff are following proper protocols for dealing with the contamination including draining and deep cleaning the area.
The splash park and wading pool are expected to reopen on Thursday, November 3.
Guests are reminded to follow showering standards to help avoid bringing contaminates in the pool.
