Traffic signal pole inspections planned at several intersections

The City of Grande Prairie is planning traffic signal pole inspections at several intersections in late August and early September.

Work is tentatively expected to take place between August 25 and September 6, with timing subject to change based on scheduling and operational requirements.

Crews will inspect traffic signal poles to monitor their condition and identify any maintenance needs. Impacts at each location will be brief, with the inspection itself taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Temporary lane closures will be required while crews set up traffic controls, complete the inspection and clear the work area.

Inspections are planned at:

  • 104 Avenue and 108 Street
  • 124 Avenue and 100 Street
  • 121 Avenue and 100 Street
  • 116 Avenue and 100 Street
  • 100 Avenue and 120 Street
  • 100 Avenue and 116 Street
  • 107 Avenue and 108 Street
  • 116 Avenue and 102 Street
  • 94 Avenue and 100 Street

Motorists are asked to watch for crews and temporary traffic controls and proceed with caution through active work areas.
