January 9
Today marks the end of the two-week portion of the current residential snow clearing rotation. We know some neighbourhoods were not fully cleared as planned due to the volume of snow, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as crews work to get caught up.
Please note: Lakeland was scheduled for clearing today, but crews are unable to complete Lakeland as planned. Lakeland and all other missed residential areas will be addressed next week. An update with details will be shared later today.
Today’s snow clearing operations include:
- Residential: Crews are working in Easthaven, Crystal Ridge, Copperwood and Crystal Lake Estates. Temporary parking restrictions remain in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Priority roads: City crews continue work on Priority 2 routes within residential areas, focusing on key corridors including Royal Oaks Drive, 100 Avenue service road and 124 Street near the airport.
- Snow storage: Cul-de-sac pile removal plans have been reassessed with crews now focusing on Lakeshore Drive.
- Ice control: Sanding crews are patrolling Priority 1 routes.
- Facilities: Crews continue snow clearing at City-owned parking lots.
City crews will continue working through the weekend to maintain priority roads.
January 8
Residential snow clearing continues today in Week B neighbourhoods with city-wide cul-de-sac snow pile removal now in progress.
- Today – Thursday, Week B: Residential crews are working in into Pinnacle Ridge and Westpointe. Temporary parking restrictions are in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please move vehicles off the road during this time to support snow clearing operations.
- Tomorrow – Friday, Week B: Residential crews move into Lakeland, Easthaven, Crystal Ridge, Copperwood and Crystal Lake Estates. Please ensure vehicles are off the road before 8 a.m. to support efficient operations.

Residential snow clearing continues today in Week B neighbourhoods with city-wide cul-de-sac snow pile removal now in progress.
- Today – Wednesday, Week B: Residential crews are working in into Cobblestone, Fieldbrook, Highland Park, Riverstone and Smith. Temporary parking restrictions are in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please move vehicles off the road during this time to support snow clearing operations.
- Tomorrow – Thursday, Week B: Residential crews move into Pinnacle Ridge and Westpointe. Please ensure vehicles are off the road before 8 a.m. to support efficient operations.

- Snow storage: Cul-de-sac pile removal continues in Crystal Lake Estates.

- From Dec. 1 to today, Grande Prairie has received over 1.1 metres of snow.
- Snow hauling included 2,868 contracted end-dump loads and 1,407 City tandem loads to keep streets clear.
January 6

- Tomorrow – Wednesday, Week B: Crews move into Cobblestone, Fieldbrook, Highland Park, Riverstone and Smith. Please ensure vehicles are off the road before 8 a.m. to support efficient operations.

- Since Dec. 1, Grande Prairie has received 113.8 cm of snow, including 30.8 cm between Jan. 1–4.
- Since early December, crews have hauled about 50,000 tonnes of snow from city streets, an average of 1,600 tonnes per day.
January 5
