February 20
A two-week round of residential snow clearing is underway.
Today (Friday, Week A):
Arbour Hills, Gateway, Northridge, Royal Oaks and Westgate.
Next week:
Crews continue in Week A neighbourhoods starting Monday, February 23, beginning with Hillside, Mountview and VLA/Montrose. Week A areas will be completed through Wednesday, with crews moving to Week B neighbourhoods starting Thursday.
Temporary residential parking restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on scheduled clearing days.

Today’s operations also include:
- Priority Roads: Crews are clearing Priority 2 routes in Westpointe, Pinnacle and Crystal Ridge today. Blading crews will continue work on Priority 2 roads tonight and through Saturday.
- Ice Control: Sanding continues on Priority Roads where needed today and through the weekend.
- Parking Lots: City facility parking lot clearing is ongoing.
February 19
A two-week round of residential snow clearing began today in Week A (Thursday) neighbourhoods: Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake and Stone Ridge.
Tomorrow, crews will move into Week A (Friday) areas: Arbour Hills, Gateway, Northridge and Royal Oaks.
Temporary residential parking restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on scheduled clearing days.
Snow Storage: Residential snow pile removal is temporarily suspended while residential clearing is underway. Snow storage in residential neighbourhoods may extend out into the street to accommodate clearing efforts. Removal of these storage sites will be treated as a priority task once residential clearing is complete.
Today’s operations also include:
- Priority Roads: Crews are completing work on Priority 1 routes today and shifting their efforts to blading and sanding Priority 2 roads.
- Ice Control: Sanding crews are out patrolling all priority roads for slippery sections.
- Parking Lots: Crews continue clearing City facility parking to lots to maintain access.
February 18
Residential snow clearing begins tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, in Week A (Thursday) neighbourhoods: Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake and Stone Ridge.
Then, on Friday, February 20, crews move into in Arbour Hills, Gateway, Northridge and Royal Oaks.
Next week, residential snow clearing continues in Week A neighbourhoods Monday through Wednesday, with Week B areas beginning on Thursday, February 26. More details on residential clearing days are available at cityofgp.com/snow.

February 17
Snow Clearing Progress and Focus Areas
City crews are clearing Priority 1 routes and parking lots at City facilities following recent and forecasted heavy snowfall.
Residential cul-de-sac pile pickup is underway in the Northridge and Royal Oaks neighbourhoods.
Parking Bans
Parking bans on permanent snow routes begin tomorrow, Wednesday , February 18 at 7 a.m.
The parking ban restricts parking on Priority 1 and Priority 2 roads from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday, until the ban is lifted to support safe and efficient snow removal.
Residential Snow Clearing
Residential snow clearing begins Thursday, February 19, starting with Week A neighbourhoods. Parking restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on scheduled clearing days.
