Construction on the Mission Estates storm rehabilitation project begins Monday, July 20.

Work will begin in the park and slope area east of 102 Street before progressing into 75A Avenue and the surrounding roadway.

The existing trail will remain open alongside the construction area for much of the project. Trail users may encounter temporary detours or access changes and should follow posted signs and stay outside fenced work zones.

Vehicle access impacts are expected to be minimal during the initial phase. Traffic, parking and property access impacts will increase as work moves into the street. 

The project includes replacing aging storm infrastructure, completing related utility and road work and building a new asphalt trail connection between 75A Avenue and the Muskoseepi Park trail system. The new trail is expected to be paved and connected to the existing trail near the end of the project. 

The overall project is expected to be complete by mid to late October, weather permitting.
