Eastlink Centre Aquatics Impacts May 1 to 3, 2026

The City of Grande Prairie is proud to host over 400 athletes for the Piranhas Northern Lights 50 metre Swim Meet at the Eastlink Centre from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3.

The Eastlink Centre aquatics area will operate with modified hours beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday. Limited public swim will be available in scheduled time slots each day, with capacity capped at 100 guests per time slot.

Please note: there is no public aquatics access on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

During limited public swim times, access will be restricted to the following amenities:

  • Wading pool 
  • Lazy river
  • Water slides
  • Family hot tub 
  • 25M program pool 
  • Sauna
  • Steam room 

Public Swim Time Slots (100 swimmer capacity) 

  • Friday, May 1: 
    • 3 to 5 p.m. 
    • 5 to 7 p.m. 
    • 7 to 9:30p.m. 
  • Saturday, May 2: 
    • 1 to 3:30 p.m. 
    • 3:30 to 6 p.m. 
    • 6 to 8:30 p.m. 
    • Splash features, adult hot tub and FlowRider will open at 7 p.m. 
  • Sunday, May 3 :
    • 1 to 3:30 p.m. 
    • 3:30 to 6 p.m. 
    • Regular public swim hours resume at 6 p.m.

Entry during time slots:

  • If space allows, you can arrive at any time during a time slot. Guests arriving later in a block may be able to enter and receive a wristband for the next time slot. 
  • If we reach capacity, entry may be paused. You can wait for space to open or return for the next available time slot.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend. Guests are invited to enjoy the event and support the athletes from our designated spectator seating area, which offers an excellent view of the competition and an energetic, community-focused atmosphere.
