Eastlink Centre Aquatics Impacts August 8 & 9

The City of Grande Prairie is proud to host the ASSA Regional Swim Meet at the Eastlink Centre from Saturday, August 8 to Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The Eastlink Centre aquatics area will operate with a modified schedule. Limited public swim will be available in scheduled time slots each day, with capacity capped at 100 guests per time slot.

During limited public swim times, the following amenities will be available: 

  • Wading pool 
  • Lazy river
  • Water slides
  • Family hot tub 
  • 25M program pool 
  • Limited lane swim in 50M pool
  • Sauna
  • Steam room 

The following amenities have adjusted availability during select public swim times:

  • The Dive Tank will be unavailable during the event and will reopen at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 9.
  • The FlowRider will be available during public swim both days from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

 

Public Swim Schedule

Friday, August 7 

  • Regular public swim and Fit Swim as scheduled, with the dive tank closed from 5:30 p.m. to close.  

Saturday, August 8, 2026: 

  • Fit Swim: until 1 p.m. 
  • Public Swim time slots
    • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. 
    • 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. 
    • 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

Sunday, August 9:

  • Fit Swim: Until 1 p.m.
  • Public Swim time slots 
    • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. 
    • 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. 
    • 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

Entry during time slots:

  • Registration is not required for public swim time slots. 
  • If space allows, you can arrive at any time during a time slot. Guests arriving later in a block may be able to enter and receive a wristband for the next time slot. 
  • If we reach capacity, entry may be paused. You can wait for space to open or return for the next available time slot.
  • Additional capacity may be accommodated during later public swim sessions where operationally feasible.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend. Guests are invited to enjoy the event and support the athletes from our designated spectator seating area, which offers an excellent view of the competition and an energetic, community-focused atmosphere.
