Aquatera construction on 97B Street begins July 24

Aquatera Utilities is beginning major water and sanitary main replacement work on 97B Street between 128 Avenue and 132 Avenue on Friday, July 24.

Preliminary work, including installation of a temporary water system, has already been underway in the area ahead of the main construction.

Beginning July 24:

  • 97B Street through the construction area will be limited to local business traffic only.
  • A detour will be in place for through traffic.
  • Drivers should follow posted detour signage, allow additional travel time and use caution near the active construction area.

Local access will be maintained for businesses within the construction area.

The work is being completed by Aquatera Utilities and includes replacement of water and sanitary infrastructure. Construction is expected to continue through the end of October, weather permitting.
