The City of Grande Prairie invites residents to roll up their sleeves on Sunday, September 14 for the TD Tree Days event, planting trees and shrubs to grow and enhance community green space.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at Ivy Lake and 100 Avenue and is a great way to support the community.

Volunteers will receive a pair of gardening gloves and a planting demonstration, then participate hands-on in planting trees and shrubs, mulching, placing tree guards and watering.

Residents interested in volunteering can register online through the event listing at cityofgp.com/events

The City looks forward to welcoming volunteers and TD employees as they work together to make a positive impact on our green spaces.

About TD Tree Days

TD Tree Days is the flagship volunteer and urban greening program of the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) and part of the TD Ready Commitment. Each year, the program unites TD colleagues, their families and community members to make a positive impact on the environment. Since 2010, volunteers have planted more than 550,000 trees and shrubs across Canada. This year alone, TD FEF is partnering with 75 organizations to add more than 30,000 plantings.
