The City of Grande Prairie is helping festivalgoers travel safely and conveniently during Bear Creek Folk Festival with free transit for wristband holders and dedicated transportation after the final performances each night.
Bear Creek Folk Festival takes place August 14 to 16 at Borstad Hill in Muskoseepi Park.
Festival wristband holders can ride regular Grande Prairie Transit service at no cost throughout the festival weekend by showing their wristband to the operator when boarding. Regular routes, schedules and service hours remain in effect.
“Bear Creek Folk Festival brings people together, showcases our community and creates an experience that residents and visitors can enjoy,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “The City is proud to support the festival and help make it more accessible through free transit and safe transportation options throughout the weekend.”
Wristbands are issued by Bear Creek Folk Festival and must be obtained from the festival before they can be used for free transit.
