Ride with GP Transit to Bear Creek Folk Festival

Leave the driving to us during Bear Creek Folk Festival.

Festival wristband holders can ride Grande Prairie Transit for free throughout the festival weekend. At the end of each night, dedicated shuttle buses will also help festivalgoers get home safely.

End-of-night festival shuttle

Dedicated shuttle buses will depart from transit stop 838 near the 102 Street Muskopseepi Park  entrance at:

• Friday: 12:30 a.m.
• Saturday: 12:30 a.m.
• Sunday: 11:30 p.m.

Buses will be available to transport riders to destinations throughout Grande Prairie with busses grouped by neighbourhoods.

The shuttle is provided at no cost to festival wristband holders.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to head to the shuttle area shortly after the final performance and locate the bus going to their destination.

Ride free throughout the festival weekend

Bear Creek Folk Festival wristband holders can ride regular Grande Prairie Transit service for free throughout the festival weekend.

Show your festival wristband to the operator when boarding. Wristbands are provided by Bear Creek Folk Festival and must be obtained from the festival before they can be used for free transit.

Regular transit routes and service hours remain in effect throughout the weekend. The dedicated end-of-night shuttle is available after regular festival programming and does not extend regular transit service hours.

Getting to the festival

Use regular Grande Prairie Transit routes to travel to stops near Muskoseepi Park and the festival grounds.

Before you ride

• Bring and wear your Bear Creek Folk Festival wristband.
• Check the regular transit schedule for your trip to the festival.
• Follow festival signage to the shuttle pickup area at the 102 Street entrance at the end of the night.
• Speak with transit staff before boarding the end-of-night shuttle so they can direct you to the appropriate bus.
• Allow time to walk from your drop-off location to your final destination.
