(Grande Prairie, Alta. – March 24, 2026) – The City of Grande Prairie is pleased to announce a new naming rights partnership with Bannister GP Kia, bringing support to multiple family focused amenities at Eastlink Centre.
Through this partnership, two popular spaces within the facility will now be known as Kia PlayCare and the Kia TreeHouse, reflecting a shared commitment to creating welcoming and engaging environments for children and families in the community.
Kia PlayCare provides families with a convenient and trusted child-minding option, allowing parents and caregivers to take part in fitness classes, use the gym or enjoy other amenities within Eastlink Centre while their children are cared for in a safe, supervised environment. The space offers an interactive, learn-through-play experience for children aged six months to seven years, where experienced staff guide them through engaging, play-based activities in a nurturing setting.
The Kia TreeHouse is a popular space within Eastlink Centre that many families enjoy as part of their visit. Designed for children ages four to seven, the space offers a free, drop-in play area where children can stay active and engaged while remaining within sight of their parent or caregiver. It provides a flexible, no-cost option for families, whether parents are connecting with friends or taking a moment to catch up on work while their children play nearby.
“Partnerships like this really matter for our community,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “Spaces like Kia PlayCare and the Kia TreeHouse are part of everyday life for many families, and this support helps keep them welcoming and accessible for everyone. We’re grateful to Bannister GP Kia for investing in spaces that bring people together.”
"We’re proud to partner with the City as we continue to invest in and support the Grande Prairie community. At Bannister GP Kia, we believe in building strong local connections, and this partnership reflects our commitment to enhancing experiences for residents and visitors alike. We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to be part of something that brings our community together,” said Adam Ratvay, General Manager at Bannister GP Kia.
New signage reflecting the updated names will be installed by the end of the month.
Naming rights partnerships like this play an important role in supporting recreation amenities while strengthening relationships between the City and local businesses. Bannister GP Kia’s investment helps ensure these spaces continue to offer high-quality, accessible experiences for families visiting Eastlink Centre.
