The City of Grande Prairie is proud to announce the speaker and panelist lineup for the upcoming State of the City: Grander Conversations event, focused on sharing perspectives and priorities shaping the community.

This year’s event will include regional perspectives from Reeve Ryan Ratzlaff of the Municipal District of Greenview and Deputy Reeve Bob Chrenek, highlighting key initiatives and major projects underway across the region, like Wonder Valley.

The featured panel brings together voices from sectors that support a strong and growing community, including public safety, skilled trades and education, housing and development, and business growth. Panelists include:

  • Chief Dwayne Lakusta, Grande Prairie Police Service
  • Dr. Vanessa Sheane, President, Northwestern Polytechnic
  • Scott Fash, Chief Executive Officer, BILD Alberta
  • Cindy Park, Vice Chair, Alberta Chambers of Commerce

The conversation will be moderated by Mayor Jackie Clayton and will focus on current trends, challenges and opportunities facing Grande Prairie and the broader region.

“This event is about bringing people together to hear directly from those working across key sectors in our community,” said Mayor Jackie Clayton. “When you bring together perspectives from across sectors, you get a clearer picture of where we are headed. That’s what State of the City is about, understanding the opportunities in front of us and how we move forward together.”
