Delegations 

Sarah Card, on behalf of the Bear Creek Folk Festival provided an update on festival plans for 2026. Council received the presentation for information. 

Public Member Hearings 

Council rescinded the appointments of Kalib Thomas and Karanjot Singh Rakhra to the Youth Advisory Council and appointed Tristan Paragas to the Youth Advisory Council for the 2025-2026 term.

2025 Service Plan

Council approved the Audit Service Plan as presented.

Borrowing Bylaw C-1491 - Public Safety Communications Centre

Council gave first reading to Bylaw C-1491, being the Public Safety Communications Centre Borrowing Bylaw, as presented.

Borrowing Bylaw C-1492 - Mission Heights Stormwater Infrastructure

Council gave first reading to Bylaw C-1492, being the Mission Heights Stormwater Infrastructure Borrowing Bylaw, as presented.

Bylaw C-1422D - Boards & Committees Bylaw Amendments

Council amended the Bylaw to add one Councillor as a voting member of the Housing and Homelessness Advisory Committee. 

Council gave three readings to Bylaw C-1422D, being an amendment to the Boards & Committees Bylaw, as amended.

Vandalism Recovery Grant - Pilot Program 

Council approved the implementation of a one-year Vandalism Recovery & Prevention Grant Pilot Program – Option 2, as amended, and allocated a budget of $80,000.00 from Council’s Strategic Initiatives. 

Correspondence

On behalf of the Government of Alberta, the Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services, Jason Nixon, recognised the City of Grande Prairie for its commitment to becoming an age-friendly community.
