Delegations 

Ken Drysdale presented an update to Council on the Maska Medical Centre and provided them with a ceremonial shovel from the groundbreaking as a token of appreciation for their leadership and contribution to the project.

Edward Peterson presented to Council on behalf of the Bear Creek Village Condo Association regarding maintenance of the creek valley.

Mamisa Robinson requested permission from Council to have the Grande Prairie Fire Department participate in a short educational movie.

A group of residents requested support for those impacted by the Margaret Edson Manor fire. 

The Grande Prairie Hospital Foundation requested a $10,000 sponsorship from Council to cover admission costs for youth and families at the Festival of Trees. 

Corporate Sponsorship Recommendation - Festival of Trees

Council approved sponsorship of $10,000 to support the Festival of Trees as the Youth Admission Sponsor, to be funded from Council’s Corporate Sponsorship Fund.

Q2 2025 Financial Report

Council received the unaudited financial statements and supporting information for the period ending June 30, 2025 for information.

Amendments to Policy 206 - Policy on the Arts

Council approved amendments to Policy 206- Policy on the Arts to reflect current practices and policy frameworks.

Subdivision Authority Officer Appointment

Council appointed Donald Tse as a Subdivision Authority Officer to exercise subdivision powers, duties and functions on behalf of the City.

Aging Well Together Priorities & Goals Update

Council received an update on the Aging Well Together Priorities and Goals and directed Administration to submit an application for the Age-Friendly Alberta Recognition Award.
