Spinal Cord Injury Alberta presented to propose adding pararamps from City sidewalks to business entrances.

BILD Grande Prairie presented regarding secondary suites.

Land Use Bylaw Amendment C-1260-126 (Rezoning to Accommodate Permanent Supported Housing)

Council approved an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw to allow for the development of an approximately 40-unit Permanent Supported Housing development.

Bylaw C-1426 - Mandatory Face Covering (Mask) Bylaw Discussion

Council confirmed with a housekeeping amendment the trigger point for deactivation of the Mandatory Face Covering  (Mask) Bylaw as a consolidated active case count between City and County of below 100 for 14 consecutive days.

Public Member Appointments

Council appointed 7 public members to Youth Council.

Pursuit of Excellence and Arts Development Committees

Council approved the Community Advisory Committee make recommendations to Council on funds dispersed from the Pursuit of Excellence and Arts Development funds.

South Peace Regional Archives Space Proposal

Council approved the proposal for the South Peace Regional Archives to relocate to the Heritage Discovery Centre space no sooner than 2023.

Community Opioid Response Task Force

Council endorsed the proposed Terms of Reference for the Community Opioid Response Task Force.

2019 Tax Recovery Sale

Council approved the properties and reserve bids for the 2019 tax recovery sale on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 9:00 a.m in the 1st floor North Conference Room at City Hall.

Bylaw C-1396B - Amendment to the Swan City Hockey Association Loan Bylaw

Council approved an amendment to the Swan City Hockey Association Loan Bylaw.

Downtown Supports through Phase 4

Council approved granting $90,000.00 from the Phase Four Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscape Project budget to the Downtown Association to support their Marketing & Communications Strategy.

Council approved opening applications for the Façade Improvement Grant under the Downtown Incentives Policy to a maximum total amount of $200,000.00 and expanded eligibility to include back alley improvements.

Secondary Suites Regulations

Council directed Administration to prepare changes to the Land Use Bylaw consistent with the request from BILD for contingent secondary suites.

Correspondence

Council received correspondence from the Minister of Transportation approving the City’s decision to reallocate the Investing In Canada Infrastructure Program- Public Transit Stream funding of $7,310,181.68 to the new COVID-19 Resilience Stream.

The Municipal District of Greenview wrote to Council providing an update on the proposed industrial park south of Grande Prairie.
