Residential snow clearing will continue as scheduled on New Year’s Day, with no changes to the two-week rotation or assigned clearing days.

On Thursday, January 1, crews will be completing Week A residential snow clearing in Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake and Stone Ridge.

Residents in these neighbourhoods are asked to remove vehicles from residential roadways before 8 a.m. and keep streets clear until 5 p.m. to support effective snow clearing. Streets with a high number of parked vehicles may not be able to be fully cleared.

Keeping roadways clear allows crews to complete full curb-to-curb passes safely and helps keep residential snow clearing on schedule across the city.

As a reminder, parking is not permitted on roadways where windrows are present at any time.

Details on residential snow clearing, including how the two-week rotation works, are available at cityofgp.com/snow.
