Residents and business owners with properties next to gravel roads can apply for dust suppression treatment between April 13 and May 1, 2026.

Residents in rural areas within city limits may request dust suppression treatment for gravel roads in sections of at least 100 metres. Treatment is applied at a width of approximately 7 metres (23 feet).

Application fees per 100 metres:

•  Residential: $500 (including GST)
• Commercial: $750 (including GST)

The City applies a calcium chloride treatment as needed in the spring and summer to help reduce gravel dust.

While every effort is made to ensure the treatment is effective, its performance depends on factors such as weather conditions. Refunds are not available once a treatment has been applied.

Applications must be submitted with payment through the online form. Payment by cash, debit or cheque is also accepted in person at City Hall or the City Service Centre, and applications are considered complete once payment is received.
