Delegations 

Frank Skolly requested that Council look into replacing and updating the Grande Prairie Cenotaph. 

Council directed Administration to bring a report back to the appropriate Standing Committee outlining options to support replacing and enhancing the Cenotaph, including discussion of potential alternative locations. 

Public Member Appointments

Council appointed Jeff Keddie to the Community Knowledge Campus Advisory Committee for a term ending December 31, 2028.

Grander Winter Strategy 

Council directed Administration to bring the Grander Winter Strategy back to include consideration of work done for indoor activities in the winter. 

The Grander Winter Strategy embraces the principles of the broader Winter Cities movement, which encourages northern communities to design infrastructure, programming, and events that help residents fully enjoy the winter months. 

Transit Public Awareness Campaign & Free Transit Days 

Council approved an additional free transit day for the Canadian Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day, typically occurring on March 18 of each year.

Public Hearing: Land Use Bylaw Amendment C-1260-206

Council gave three readings to Bylaw C-1260-206, being an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw.

The amendments will rezone the subject property to Direct Control DC-42 and are consistent with the Northridge Area Structure Plan.
