The Downtown Rehabilitation Project is progressing on schedule with the intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street now open to north, south, and westbound traffic.

The contractor has completed the installation of new underground pipes at the intersection of 100 Avenue and 100 Street, and it is temporarily paved with asphalt until crews return to install the permanent roadway along the entire construction zone later this summer.

Work on the project is progressing east, with the intersection of 100 Avenue and 99 Street expected to close to traffic on Wednesday, May 12. 100 Avenue between 99 Street and 98 Street will also be closed to through traffic and parking, while half the block remains open to local traffic only for those seeking to access the downtown Co-op parking lot.

These closures are necessary to allow construction of the new underground and above ground infrastructure.
