(Grande Prairie, Alta. – December 17, 2025) – The City of Grande Prairie invites the community to ring in the new year together at New Year’s Eve-ning Out, a free, family-friendly celebration taking place at Muskoseepi Park on Wednesday, December 31.

From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., residents of all ages can enjoy a variety of classic winter activities, including skating on the pond, horse and wagon rides, hot chocolate, cookies and music from a live DJ. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display over the reservoir at 10:30 p.m.

The New Year’s Eve-Ning Out takes place from 6 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and finishes with a fireworks display over the reservoir at 10:30 p.m.  

“There’s something special about celebrating the new year together, right here in Grande Prairie,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “New Year’s Eve-ning Out is a chance to enjoy winter, share the moment and start the year feeling connected to our community.”

To support safe travel throughout the city on New Year’s Eve, Grande Prairie Transit will offer free access across all transit services starting at 6 p.m. on December 31, with Regular Service operating until 9 p.m. From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. the following morning, customers can access the Late Night On-Demand service from any transit stop. These options provide residents with a convenient way to get home safely, no matter where they choose to celebrate.
