(Grande Prairie, Alta. – September 26, 2025) – The City is inviting residents to take part in Grande Prairie Transit learning sessions that provide a welcoming introduction to the local transit system.

The sessions take place on October 9, 2025, at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, with two times available: 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The learning sessions guide participants through the essentials of using transit in Grande Prairie, from understanding maps and schedules to planning trips and purchasing fares. With a focus on building comfort and confidence, the sessions are especially valuable for those who are new to the transit system but are open to anyone who would like to feel more at ease getting around. By learning more about the system, residents can better explore the community, access services and reduce barriers to transportation.

“The City of Grande Prairie works to ensure transit is welcoming and accessible for everyone,” said Mayor of Grande Prairie, Jackie Clayton. “These sessions are about giving people the confidence to ride the bus and discover more of what our community has to offer.”
