The City of Grande Prairie is hosting two weekends of family-centered winter fun across February 6-7 and February 13-15 in Muskoseepi Park.
The Family Festivities in the Park presented by New Horizon Co-op feature tobogganing, skating, snow shoeing, free snowman kits and a brand-new ice luge provided by Nitehawk Year Round Adventure Park, and more.
Pre-registration is required for all activities in an effort to monitor group sizes and physical distancing. Registration links can be found on the event page at cityofgp.com/events. One-hour time slots are available for members of the same household between 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with luging offered between 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
All events are free and registration is open for all families.
Free hot chocolate and snacks are being provided by New Horizon Co-op for participants the weekend of February 13-15.
All provincial health regulations including physical distancing and group sizes remain in place.
The City is also teaming up with the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association to host a family-themed scavenger hunt.
