Delegations

Grande Prairie Live Theatre Society spoke to Council about their operations and requested funding support. Council approved funding in the amount of $40,000 immediately to the Grande Prairie Live Theatre Society, to be funded from the Financial Stabilization Reserve, with the condition that they come back with a plan within 60 days, and the organization signs a funding agreement satisfactory to the City Manager and City Solicitor.

The Centre for Creative Arts Society spoke to Council requesting funding assistance for their operations. Council defeated the motion to approve funding for the Centre for Creative Arts Society. Council directed Administration to request the organization present a plan within 30 days of their Annual General Meeting.

Declaration of Insufficiency of Petition 

Council received the Declaration of Insufficiency of Petition for information related to a petition on terminating trail paving along Bear Creek.

Public Member Appointments

Council appoint Jeremy Gardiner to the Combative Sports Commission for a term ending December 31, 2027.

Council appoint Ben Sander to the Grande Prairie Police Commission for a two-year term beginning August 17, 2026.
