“The Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation is a cooperative fundraising body that will benefit the citizens of our community and support other charities with similar goals and objectives”.

Established in 2007 by the Grande Prairie Firefighters Association, the Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation was created to strengthen and expand the positive impact firefighters have within the community. Working alongside long-standing community partners while building new relationships, the Foundation supports initiatives that benefit residents throughout Grande Prairie and the surrounding region.

Since its inception, the Foundation has raised and distributed more than $100,000 to local organizations and causes. While Grande Prairie firefighters have always been active volunteers and supporters of charitable initiatives, the Foundation provides a coordinated way to maximize those efforts and create lasting community impact. Just as firefighters work every day to protect lives and property, the Foundation extends that same commitment to caring for the community beyond emergency response.
