Event Details: 

Welcome the holiday season with the 2025 Christmas Tree Light Up, presented by the DownTown Association in partnership with the City of Grande Prairie on Sunday, November 30 at Bonnetts Energy Centre.

The celebration begins at 4 p.m. in H.A. Rice Plaza, followed by the tree lighting at 4:35 p.m. Starting at 4:45 p.m., families are invited into The Bowes for visits with Santa and a holiday movie.

Schedule:

• 4 p.m. – Festivities begin in H.A. Rice Plaza
  • Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies (sponsored by Beairsto & Associates Engineering Ltd)
• 4:35 p.m. – Christmas Tree Light Up
• 4:45 p.m. – Santa visits and holiday movie in The Bowes

Battle of the Badges Charity Hockey Game

Following the Christmas Tree Light Up, the community is invited to cheer on the Grande Prairie Fire Department and local law enforcement in the Battle of the Badges charity hockey game.

Puck Drop: 5:30 p.m.
Cost: By cash donation - a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family is appreciated
