Vandalism Recovery Grant

The Vandalism Recovery Grant supports business in both repairing damage from vandalism and implementing preventative measures to reduce future incidents.

Grant Amount: 

• Up to 50% of eligible expenses. 
• Maximum of $5,000.00 per business per year. 
• Unlimited applications until maximum is reached.

Eligibility Criteria: 

• Must be a commercial street-level business.  
• Must hold a valid business license and be in good standing with the City. 
• Must provide proof of vandalism (e.g., police report, photos, etc.). 
• Must not have received other municipal funding for the same repairs. 
• The applicant is the property owner or a tenant designated by the property owner to complete the grant program application.
• Preventative projects must demonstrate a clear link to reducing vulnerability to vandalism.

Property owners may also apply for shared common area preventative measures. 

Eligible Expenses: 

• Window pane/glass replacements. 
• Associated hardware 
  • Examples: Security cameras, frames, security film or lighting
• Costs of emergency board-up services.
• Security cameras and lighting. 
• Anti-graffiti coatings. 
• Exterior gate/door reinforcements. 
• Landscaping or visibility improvements (e.g., removing visual obstructions).
