Delegations

Rising Above Ministry Presented to City Council seeking approval of a 40-year lease and permission to build on property they lease from the City.

Council direct Administration to work with Rising Above on extending their current lease for up to 40 years.

Streetlight Illumination

City Administration presented a report on streetlight illumination. Council received this report for information.

ATCO Streetlight Proposal

City Council accepted the ATCO Streetlight Conversion Proposal to convert streetlights to LED, and catch-up the backlog of streetlight repairs for a total cost of $617,468.

City Council allocated the remaining funds received from the proposal to the financial stabilization reserve.

Council direct Administration to bring back a report detailing all light standards that are 20 years or older.

Community Group Funding

Council approved the 2024-2025 Operational Funding for a total of $2,511,450 in 2024 and $2,518,950 in 2025.

Council approved the 2024 to 2025 Community Group Funding operating grant allocations as presented in Attachment 1.

Council deferred the 2024-2025 Capital funding requests to 2024 budget deliberations as presented in Attachment 2.

Correspondence

Council appointed Kristina McNeil, Brooks Hoffos, Bobbi Jo Matheson, and Doug Morris to the Grande Prairie Downtown Association Board for a term ending March 1, 2026.
