Residents are invited to participate in a virtual scavenger hunt during Pollinator Week, from June 19 to 25.
Pollinator Week is an annual observance to remind us of the vital role pollinators play in our ecosystem and the significance of our collective efforts in nurturing their well-being.
The City of Grande Prairie obtained the Bee City designation in the Fall of 2020, reaffirming its commitment to educating the community on ways to support the bee population. This designation showcases the City's dedication to promoting biodiversity in pollinator habitats and fostering sustainable practices that encourage the growth of natural areas and edible landscapes.
Those participating in the virtual scavenger hunt will learn about everyday practices they can implement to create habitats for pollinators. Participants will have the opportunity to win one of five fantastic prizes at the end of the scavenger hunt. Please visit, goosechase.com and enter the game code: GJDVED to register to play today.
