The City of Grande Prairie is excited to celebrate the Eastlink Centre’s ten-year anniversary.
Officially opening its doors ten years ago on December 11, 2011, the modern wellness facility has become a recreation staple in the community and across the region.
Offering a wide range of recreation activities, the aquatics area features water slides, a surf machine, waterpark, lazy river, hot tubs, Olympic sized 50 – metre 10 lane swimming pool, steam room and sauna. The Fieldhouse provides space and equipment for sports or fitness activities, along with four racquetball and squash courts and a four-lane, 175-metre track on the third floor. The second floor hosts an expansive Fitness Centre, with cardio and strength equipment and four multipurpose rooms including a state-of-the-art spin studio.
This facility is designed to engage the community and create a sense of belonging for lifelong users of all ages and abilities.
Over the past 10 years, Eastlink Centre has experienced many highlight events and accomplishments including hosting Summer Swim Club Regionals, 2015 Tour of Alberta, 2017 Edmonton Eskimos and Edmonton Oilers Skills Clinics, 2018 Alberta Summer Games; launch of the Annual Eastlink Centre Triathlon in 2017; partnerships with the Largest Outdoor Yoga Event, GP Sport Connection Try-It Day and Salvation Army Food Bank Drive; supporting athletes pursuing sports excellence nationally and internationally such as Catherine Minic for the 2021 Olympic trials and serving over 47 community user groups including the Grande Prairie Piranhas Swim Club.
The Eastlink Centre is a proud supporter of the community and thanks all of the community groups, organizations, businesses, and most importantly, community members for the support over the years to continue to provide connected, inclusive and accessible recreation opportunities in Grande Prairie.
Stocking Stuffer Campaign
To celebrate the anniversary and give back to the community, Eastlink Centre has a full line-up of festivities scheduled over the next 12 months starting with the Stocking Stuffer Campaign.
Starting December 10, surprise value gift card Stocking Stuffers will be available for purchase at the Eastlink Centre. The Stocking Stuffers are $50 each, and each gift card holds a surprise value, with a minimum of a 10% value increase to represent the 10th anniversary. Values will be between $55-$1000 and can be redeemed for Eastlink Centre or Coca-Cola Centre services including memberships, registrations, programs and rentals.
To purchase visit the Eastlink Centre West Entrance, Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. or Saturday through Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Stocking Stuffers will be sold until December 24th at 1:00 p.m. or until sold out with limited quantities available.

Over the course of the year, Eastlink Centre will be rolling out more features to celebrate this landmark anniversary.
- A special ten-year anniversary logo is being featured on the facility’s social media channels, in the facility, staff uniforms and more. Other highlights include:
- Monthly track workouts available in-person and online that can be done on the indoor track or at home
- Monthly social media contests on Facebook and Instagram giving community members the chance to win a prize pack that may include branded items, or access to the facility programs – swimming lessons, fitness assessments etc.
- Monthly features or events, starting with an Anniversary Playlist available in January via QR code for members to experience what music was popular the year the facility opened during their workouts
