The City of Grande Prairie is ready to crack open some Easter fun on Saturday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grande Prairie Museum’s Heritage Village.
Families are encouraged to purchase tickets for their preferred timeslot starting at 8:30 a.m. on February 29 at cityofgp.com/easter. Tickets are available for $5 per child and free for adults accompanying for a half hour time slot. Pre-booking tickets is highly recommended as the event sells out annually.
The Easter Eggstravaganza event includes inclusive time slots, designed for participants who benefit from a calmer and quieter environment. Inclusive time slots are only available by contacting AccessGP at info@cityofgp.com or by calling 311.
“We’re excited to welcome families back to this year’s cherished Easter Eggstravaganza event,” said Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. “This year we added a new toddler-focused egg hunt, as well as continuing to offer the inclusive time slot, to ensure families get the opportunity to come out, enjoy some treats and have some Easter fun. Make sure to mark your calendars for February 29 so you can secure your tickets for this beloved event!”
The Easter Eggstravaganza event includes lots of activities for families, including:
- Easter egg hunt (ages four to 10
- Toddler-focused Easter egg hunt (ages two to four) in an Easter Garden
- Colouring contest
- Cookie decorating
- Easter crafts
- Scavenger hunt
- Easter bunny photo booth
Easter Eggstravaganza visitors are reminded that this event is a mix of indoors and outdoors so to please dress appropriately for weather conditions.
