The City of Grande Prairie is inviting residents and visitors to kick off the 2026 Grande Prairie Stompede with a free community pancake breakfast.

The breakfast takes place Wednesday, May 27, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the H.A. Rice Plaza at Bonnetts Energy Centre. Parking is available in east, west and south lots.

The event offers a welcoming opportunity for the community to gather, enjoy a hot breakfast and connect with Council at the start of a busy and exciting week in the city.

“The Stompede is a special time in Grande Prairie. It brings our community together and showcases the spirit that makes this region what it is,” said Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Council looks forward to hosting our annual Stompede breakfast to connect with our residents and visitors as we celebrate the energy and momentum it brings to Grande Prairie.”

The event supports Council’s Strategic Priority of Community Empowerment and Livability by creating a welcoming space where people of all ages can connect, take part in the community and feel a sense of belonging.
